Hair loss is also known as Baldness. It can be the result of specific medications, an underlying medical condition and heredity. Women, men and children all are affected by hair loss.
In some cases, it may cover up with makeup, scarves or hats and hairstyles. And in other cases, it may be treated by surgical treatment and medications. What are the causes of hair loss?

Poor nutrition

Severe flu, high fever or surgery

Childbirth

Scalp infection
Sometimes, hair loss is associated by scalp infection such as ringworm; it can invade the skin and hair of the scalp. An oral or a topical antifungal medication will be recommended by the health care providers to treat ringworm, a fungal infection.

In some people, hair loss is developed by the certain medications, which are used to treat arthritis, high blood pressure, gout, depression and heart problems. Women may experience hair loss in case of taking birth control pills.

Sometimes, after the treatment ends such as radiation therapy or chemotherapy may cause Alopecia (the form of hair loss).
Infancy
In the first few months of life, hair is lost by newborns babies. Most of the permanent hair is replaced instead of the babies’ hair (Vellus). A patch of hair on the back side of the baby’s heads may lose in many babies.
Hair treatments
In rare cases, if dying, bleaching, perming, tinting, or straightening with chemicals are used incorrectly or overused, it may cause hair loss. In some cases, it may cause by different excessive hair styles. This is also called by Traction alopecia.
Health diseases
Health problems such as lupus, thyroid condition and diabetes can cause hair loss.
